I feel like i read somewhere if you don't do the 0541 code delete... it will fail a CCT and Buzz Test. But not sure
This is true, and also bunk. Yes, with the code, my AE won't run the CCT and it will fail. What's the fix? truck running, clear codes, run CCT. Buzz test does not require the code to be cleared. The engine is not running for this and the test happily goes about it's business.
Short answer: a soft code that sets no SES and the PCM does not care much about to run the truck.
