ok i got some problems with my factory 6 cd cd player in my truck. i got a 2002 f250 psd lariat and it wont eject the cd's nor take any in. i did the trouble code thing and i went to get me some keys to pull the player out and one side of the player wont come out nor will it move at all i think the key is not un latching it or something got any ideas on what to do?
Put both your keys in the holes and push the keys out and pull at the same time and the radio should come out. Mine did the same thing as yours and ended up replacing the unit.

Mine does the same thing. I picked up those pin keys also, sometimes it just pops out, other times I have to man-handle it so much I think I'm going to break the radio.
I love the factory set-up but it's no good if it keeps locking up especially when you're on a long trip and want to listen to CDs. Keep trying. V/r Les
Ok, good thread. I will for this. I have the same cd player, 6 disk. I ejected a disk, then I hit the load button, the door opened and took the cd. The door didn't close and I can see the cd inside like it didn't put it in place. Now, every time I push the cd button it gives me "CD ERROR". I think I can stick tweasers in there and grab the cd and try to pull it out. I guess it won't hurt anything to try this. Anyone know about this?

When my cd player did this I was tring to load it and gave me CD error I had to throw mine away and bought a referb unit off of ebay.
Mine does it from time to time. Eventually it will spit it out though. I also like the stocker since you cant replace it with a new double din unit because the mounting has changed since they made ours. What I usually do is hit the eject button and cd number and push in on the cd with a thin plastic object (credit card?) and eventually it ejects it. I have done this several times and have also had my wife do it while I was driving. I tried the tweaser thing, but they wouldnt fit. One time I had to use a knife on the top side of the cd and a business card on the bottom of the cd (so as not to scratch it) and pull on it that way. I got an estimate for around $500 to rebuild it..good to know that they are around 100 on fleabay.

Thanks, I will go out and give this a try. Will let you know what happens.
A lady at work had a Toyota Sienna that wouldn't eject. I did the "smack the console" trick and to my surprise it ejecte the stuck cd. Since I got satellite radio, I rarely use the (Pioneer) cd player.
Also if you disconnect your batteries for a minute or 2... sometime it will reset your deck ! I had mine to the same thing a bunch of times.... Got sick of it and put in a Avic D3 with sirius sat, gps, ipod direct cable, DVD playback, etc.. Its pretty nice !
Well, the credit card and the knife didn't work. I kind of pushed the cd down and I can't get to it anymore. . Radio still works. Guess I will see what I need to do here. Thanks for the help.

Rick,
Same thing happened to me. I did just what you said and took tweezers, got the cd out, i cycled through all of the cd's that were in 1-5, letting each one load and start playing before switching it, and when i got back to CD 6 i loaded the cd in and it worked fine and haven't hasd a problem since.
I finally got the tweezers to work by ruining a pair. I had to flatten them out so i could barely open them, i just had enough of an opening to slide the tweezers over the CD, squeezed the tweezers hard enough and got the CD out
