I must not have posted it in this thread but all you need to do is buy some Ford stock and you can get Xplan pins. You will most likely have much better luck spending $10 on a few shares of stock. The forum that has this info is currently down, if interested I can provide the link later.

Hey Galaxie, is the thread back up yet for X-Plans? I just requested one before seeing this.

x-plan pins

I have 6 x-plan pins to give away to any of my fellow enthusiasts...Please email me at bill4kath@aol.com. I wouldn't want them to go to waste.

I will tell you my experience with Employee Pricing Event held in Canada each summer. I ordered my 2017 F350 in May of 2017. I negotiated my sale thru the Fleet Manager that deals with my organization when purchasing their trucks. He sold me my truck at the same terms he sells to them. So he is making money on them and doing bulk selling. There was really no negotiation, just a price calculation based on invoice. Then less applicable Ford discounts at the time of order. I had happened to order when there was a bonus discount. The truck arrived during Employee Pricing in the summer. My original price, actually beat Employee Pricing by about $1000. So I had the choice which option to use. Of course I took the original price which was less . LOL. I did not have to negotiate. I was assured of a good price with a second option of Employee Pricing. Now as I understand it, X Plan is more than A Plan (Employee Pricing) but dealer fees are limited to $100. You will have to decide which way you go when purchasing your truck. At the end of the day, Ford will get their money but I did like getting a fair price with no negotiation. Some on this site appear to have achieved better pricing by doing lots of work online and getting an internet dealer interested and sometimes flying to pick up their truck. Each person will decide what works for them. There is no one way, there is no magic formula. Just don't walk onto a dealership, gush over one truck and pay whatever he wants. You will not get a good deal. I really liked dealing with the Fleet Manager because he knew his product and was able to give me advice when we sat down to spec my truck. I did have it down on paper but he was able to give me advice. Good luck.
