I could use your help...
when I received my '48 F4, the cab and frame had been bead blasted and when the cab was put back on the frame there were no bushings installed. I have the cab mount bushing kit and I have the rubber tube bushings installed in the arms that mount the back of the cab. But how do I use the remaining round and rectangular bushings?
I assume the round ones are used on the front and the rectangular ones are used in the middle, but how are they located? (between the frame and cab, or what?)
On my 53 & 56 the rubber bushing went between the frame mount and the cab.
None of my few catalogues have a decent picture of the 48 cab mounts.
It would be nice if all the suppliers sent along diagrams, when all else fails you can always read the instructions.......Ha, ha!
The rectangular ones go between cab and front mount and th e round go under the bracket to cushion the bolts with the long shoulder. If you have a shop manual, it's shown in a side view pic in the body section. I just remounted my cab on my 50 F-1 after 19 years off the frame. Sometimes projects have to age slightly before you begin........
