Cab Mounting Bolts
Well, my cab is painted and in the process of mounting it back on the frame. I had purchased the polyurethane bushings and bolts for mounting the cab (using the old hardware) and there are 3 sizes of bolts. The shortest I assume was for the core support and the second shortest for the front mounts and longest for the rear mounts. The front ones work, but seem just a bit to long, and the longest bolts are way to long. Are the polyurethane bushings thinner than the factory rubbor bushings? I ordered the right mounting bolts, but just wondering why they would be too long.

When I did bushings, I took the bolts out, stabbed them into cardboard in relation to where they came out. The new bolts were not the exact legnths I needed, so I matched them up to what fit best, and would not cause me to have to play musical bolts.
When in doubt, go buy a stack of washers, and nuts that are larger than the threads to act as a spacer.
If that kind of backwoods engineering does not exite you, buy grade 8 bolts that are the correct length.
