2005 powerstroke wont start need help please
the truck has new headgaskets, egr cooler, hpop, ipr, icp in the last 2,000 miles ago and the steering wheel controls would some times work so today i took the cover off the bottom of the steering wheel to check for wires the the truck seemed like it shudderd and died and now it will not crank back up checked all fuses and wire seem all ok what could it be a bad ipr the truck has no codes at all tach moves while cranking oh yea it is a stock truck
Did you check for codes? Maybe the PCM crapped out, unless the STC fitting just suddenly came apart. Any hard start issues recently when it was warmed up? Does the oil psi come up when cranking? When did you last change the fuel filters?
If the truck is under 100K in mileage then it's time to have it hauled to a Ford Service Dept. with Certified 6.0 Techs for diagnosis/repair.

this is a start, check the wiring under the steering wheel again make shure nothing is loose. next do you have a good code reader? if so try and scan for codes, if it a stc fittting issue the truck may need towed to a reputable 6.0 diesel tech.
I know that if you turned the steering wheel too far on removal or replacing, you can break the clockspring wires! What I do NOT know is is any broken clockspring wiring will effect startup.....
Sounds like a call back i'd take it back to the last guy that worked on it and ask him if he put all new o-rings in the high pressure fuel system. If he didn't a high pressure oil leak can occur causeing hard start long crank conditions. there are a lot of hacks out there.

TRY THESE OUT
B1352 Ignition Key-In Circuit Failure
U1900 Can Communication Bus Fault
B1318 Battery voltage Low
B1360 Ignition Switch circuit open
P0098 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit High
type any other codes you have at the below site.

Sounds like it might be that the truck is not sensing the key being in the ignition. From doing some Remote Start systems on trucks I know some have a sensor for this that it must read the chip in the key to start. The ones I have worked on have very small fine wires leading up to the ignition "key" area behind the steering wheel itself. For the heck of it if you have another key try that other key and/or wiggle the shifter if an automatic while trying to start it.
Might want to check your batteries too
If the voltage is too low your trucks not going to start. She needs every bit of power. That would be why your gauges are fluttering also. Also possibly why you were having issues with the steering wheel controls.
