Hey guys, i know this has been discussed over and over, i need to pick some brains though. i have a 03 350, it was running when i started the repair. The rear plug on the HPOP blew the oring out and it was puking oil, went to install all new orings and the threads came out with the plug. purchased an adrenaline pump, installed new lines and fittings, installed cross over line, reused old IPR, truck was running no need to buy another one so i thought. Went to start her up got nothing, primed oil system by cranking, pulling plugs in head adding oil, every thing you are suposed to do. had a friend who knows 7.3's better than I do, bring his computer over we found the injection pressure is at 22 psi. tried a new ipr same thing. ive checked the wiring in the ipr plug seems ok. tried a new icp sensor, plugged and unplugged, i never had the valve covers off so the uvch wasnt messed with still check the connections. the res is full. am i looking at a bad pump from diesel site? any ideas, any help would be greatly appriciated!!
also need to add, i did install a dp tuner chip, batteries were diconnected when i pulled pcm. truck does the same with the chip in or out. i thought maybe i installed it wrong so i pulled the chip and tried to start, nothing
How did you tighten the bolt for the front gear on HPOP. Hold the engine to keep from turning and torque to spec? Maybe pull the cover and recheck?
The gear is meshing good (my first thought also) I had help from my neighbor holding the crank while I torqued the gear to 96 ft lbs. I'll have more data tomorrow when my buddy brings his computer over and hooks it up. I'm stumped right now. Hopefully I'll have more answers for y'all tomorrow thatnks for the input.
