Has anyone here installed a fuel cell in the bed of your truck? I am considering installing one in the bed of my 56.The reason being is I don't want to take the bed off the frame.Any suggestions.

Fatfenders56 (Tim White) made his own tank for the bed.

Here's his gallery on it: https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...&albumid=31549

I removed my bed with the help of some friends and a cherry picker. Went pretty easy.

Wayne,

I have seen some fuel cells in the beds of trucks and I generally do not like the looks of the racing type of cell, but I have seen some in the bed that were put into boxes like a diamond plate chest or something old looking. Just remember if that is feasible for you and you like do not worrying about anything I say.

I had mine in the bed about 15 years ago coverd in aluminum it looked like a tool box, then I found a ply tank like the original, then on to the Mustang tank.
