No have got, my seat is gone too! You have to be very suspicious of those temporary seats, approach them with caution. A buddy took his 36 ford 383 for a test drive and it flipped him right off the 5 gallon can he was sitting on.

I'm not too impressed with your seat but man, that floor sure looks to be like brand new! Seats are cheap, keep an eye on eBay, they're on there all of the time and sell cheap. Shipping is what is going to kill you. Also, look in the swap are of this site. They show up there from time to time. You can also post a wanted ad, some one is bound the reply.

I was going to tell you list your location in under your joining date because if you do you might have someone close by who might have what you're looking. I checked your profile and saw you're in Germany, there are a few members in Germany, maybe the can help out if they look at this post.

Click on this link, it will take you to the swap area:

There is also a link in the main '48-60 forum toward the top that looks like this:

You could honestly make a brand new one from scratch for what it would cost just to ship one in very bad condition over there. They are very simple, and unless you are going for a 100-pt restoration, there is no advantage. Depending on your shape (height, legs, etc) it isn't likely the stock seat will be all that comfortable anyway.

Ross,

I never really thought about building a seat from scratch. Most likely any used is going to need reupholstering, it wouldn't take much more to have an upholsterer add some springs to a seat frame. Being as this truck is on the other side of the big pond, there aren't going to be many people over there that would know if it's stock or not.

I have 2 seats both from 1950 trucks. They would cost $500.00 or more in shipping charges alone

Hey guys,

its not necessary to send the seat to germany. My truck still stand in houston. My friend live in houston and we often got a container from houston to germany.

@Kevin,

I live 2 hours away from houston and have a 1952 seat you can have if you come get it. It's in rough condition and will need some work. It's a good start and better than nothing.
