I have logged about 80K on my diesels and have never had a CPS failure but after doing a search I think that is the problem. Here is the background:
95 5 spd with 120K, bought it with 93K
EBPV brake, Valair clutch, DP, and 4" exhaust only mods
hiccup/chug while driving
has died while sitting idling, but starts right up
no check engine light
gets good maintenance
replaced fuel filter and cleaned screen (not dirty)
There was no recall for this year unlike my 97. If you think it is the CPS, is there an upgrade? Best source? IH or Ford? Will a 97 CPS work in the 95 to check?
Well, maybe not CPS. This truck was sitting outside overnight so I started it and let it warm up while I bladed the drive. It ran for about a half hour and didnt shut off. I pulled it into the shop and there is fuel in the back of the valley. I know the banjo bolt is tight. So, now what do I look for?
