I didn't mention it in my last post but reasonably sure the lady that answered the phone said it was ICU unit and that would explain the family only deal
From recent experience with my brother's troubles, CCU is the "Cardiac Care Unit, as opposed to ICU, or "Intensive Care Unit". The cardiac unit is for heart troubles like my brother had or things related to the circulation system, and the ICU can be for folks injured in accidents not necessarily related to an illness but other truamas.
I would think they would be standard across the country, but at least in Tennessee and South Carolina, that is what they are called.....Hopefully he is doing better, or at least there are hopes for a good outcome. This not knowing is getting scarey for sure.......GET WELL MARK!!!

Just my 2cents on ICU...if you're sick(or nearly dead as I was) that's the place to be. I was in the ICU for 4 wks after I got shot. I received constant attention.
Yes by it's nature it denotes "Serious" but I believe in the medical field. They hover over you there and have every piece of equipment available to sustain you.
I used to joke that they would wake me up to give me sleeping pills.
Lots of prayers for my friend Mark...and his family.
All right guys, I know I said I would leave it alone, but, I called anyway..
Mark is back in ICU, he is back on the breathing machine, feeding tube, all of it.. He is suffereing right now from ( I am going to blow this spelling, and have not found the correct spelling ) septic an infection that runs through out the body..He was put back in there Friday..
He is in rough shape.. and needs your thoughts and prayers more then ever..Sorry for the bad news..
