wouldnt hurt to start with a few smaller bits and work your way up.....I just remembered thats what I did...
I think thats what Im gonna do. I just dont feel like spending 1/2 of what I spent on the bags in bits!
I was thinkin about a step bit, but didnt know if they would put a dent in that frame...
Only 1! Thank goodness! I never put all my eggs in one basket! I had to test the waters!
Smart man.
Well, I'm off to work. It was supposed to be icy this morning but doesn't look like it on my front porch. I guess i will see when I hit the road. Can't wait to see what else will be new when I log back on this evening.

Screw it...Im getting the step bit..
Imma take my 15 dollar 7/16" back and get a 35 dollar stepper! Product Information Error Page
EDIT...maybe not....think the frame might be too much for this bit.
Tristan, I did mine on saturday and used an Irwin Turbomax bit and it cut thru the frame real nice and easy. I think that Lowes sells the Irwin brand.
Okay good. I'd go with 2x6 for that height though, as otherwise it will be very wavy/flexy. The Timberstrand (LSL) I mentioned earlier will be out of the range then. Just go with 2x6, 24'' oc (on center) single bottom plate, and double top. Is this outdoors?? you could go with exterior grade plywood in 1/2'' or maybe 3/4 if money allows, paint it and be good for awhile. Sorry if I missed it, but is this inside or outside? how long will it be needed? seasonal? take it down when done? sorry I have more questions for you and would like to steer you correctly lil bro!
It will be built on the inside of my barn since I have a nice concrete floor in the top section of my barn. I see what you mean about the 2X6s, I will probbably use them instead of 2x4s.
