I've got 11000 on my F250, pull a26ft TT, Plugges two holes in the side of the front grill, cover the lift hooks in the bottom bumper, made a spacer cover to cover he slot along the bumper top, added the bigger thing under the front bumper, put a cheap cover across the back end, total cost ...about 300.00, mileage priceless.... I drive in the city, on the beltway we have here, back and forth to work.. about 52 miles to and from...Hand cal is 16.1 locale mixed, hand cal 10-11 towing, have not experience a regen since I have owned it. Folks at ford say itis probably because I run 55-65 each way to work and a little loc at 25 to 45. Maybe 20 percent of the time. I'm very happy and FOrd can kiss my behine before
I will let them flask my rig!!!!
Well guys, I have a F250, 11000 miles on "er, covered the front lift hooks, covered two holes in the grill, on each side of rad cooling vents, covered the back with a cheap cover...I pull a 26ft TT and average 10-11 mpg, locale driving to and from work, 53 miles some beltway some side streets etc. I average 16.4 hand cal. I runn from 25 to 65 daily commute. From what i read I get as good or better mileage with my homemade creations as those who spend a couple of thou on tuners. Only thing I know is Ford is never going to FLash my truck. Everyone seems to be having problems... I don't think I have ever had a regen..My mech at the dealers says it is more then likely the fact that My driving speeds are taking care of any soot. Less drag equals mileage.............
Well, I have oh about 3500k miles on mine and it regens about once a tank. But I only know that because of my programmer. I hate to tell you guys this but your truck goes into regen more that you think. If you read the manual or watch the dvd that comes with the truck theres two types. One where it just gets rid of the soot build up and the other cleans the filter itself. But, your dash will only show the one where it cleans the filter. Now the first one where it uses the filter to get rid of the soot that doesnt show up on your dash, but shows on a programer. when and if You get a programmer you will see that your truck goes into regen alot more than you think. As for they guy saying he doesnt understand why people lift and all that crap. Well, its simply that what they want, also i have a 6 inch pro comp lift with 35 13 18r and last take i got 15.8 miles a gallon, and no thats not using the computer that good ole math done in my log book that I keep. Well, thats my two cents.
