Annoying auto lock

Annoying auto lock
I was wondering if there's any particular way to leave my truck running and lock the #%$%#$& doors.
Exhibit A: I frequent long distance trips of 250miles+, upwards of 1,000 miles in 1 day a few times a year.
Exhibit B: Cold mornings, iced windshield, trying to warm the engine to get some heat to defrost stuff.
In both cases I can't leave the vehicle unattended because the doors automatically unlock if I lock them. The 20 minute ride to work sucks because the first 10 minutes it's warming up. It's agitating in winter that the huge mechanical fan cools the engine even though the engine is struggling to get warm. Also when I'm running to a rest stop to pee real quick and i've been cruising at 80mph, I don't want to do the unhealthy thing and go form 80-0 in less than a minute, shut it off, start it 2 minutes later, and go 0-80 in a minute. I want to just idle it.
I keep both a set of spare keys, a spare fob, and i know the key code to my keypad. I'm not going to get locked out, I want it to stop protecting me from that.

another quick one that's in the manual that not many people know about, is if you unlock the doors via the keypad on the door, if you press the "3" button after it unlocks the driver's door, it will then unlock the rest of the doors too. Saves time if you need to get into the back seat, or cargo area. No need to unlock, open the door, and hit the switch. Just press one extra button and everything is open.
