Here's a dumb question for the experts here. I have the keyless entry on my 15 F-250. If I start the truck with the key am I able to lock it and then re- enter using the key pad on the door. I am asking because the spare key is 300 miles away and at the motel I am staying in there are no outlets to plug this beast into. Going to get pretty cold tonight and want to let it warm up a bit longer than usual.
Thanks in advance
Mike.
Yes, you can do that if you know your code. To lock it with the key in the ignition and engine running you must hit the last two buttons on the outside keypad.
Something to think about....
If the keys are in the truck overnight and the battery's go dead you wont be able to use the keypad to get in !
other than that, what you are trying to do will work fine
The 6.7 will not need to be plugged in, in Nebraska.
Unfortunately Iowa I am in your part of the world. Looking like -20 to -30 below tonight and 6-12 inches up here by Mason City.
Thanks for the info guys. It'll be nice to crawl into a warm truck after coffee.
It started just fine this morning. My first djewel and even though I drive them daily I got a little gun shy today. Half of our trucks and equipment wouldn't start or gelled up. Of course that's what happens when you leave it sit for 2 weeks.
