There seems to be plenty of discussion on what these trucks are selling for. And it also seems that KBB and other valuation services are off by many thousands of dollars from real world prices. It would be good to put this discussion in a single thread for convenient reference.
Please post in this thread what you've paid for your RECENT Excursion purchase. RECENT means second half of 2008 and beyond. Please DON'T clutter the thread with your older purchases, since prices have fallen dramatically over the summer and show no signs of recovery.

I know it's not an Excursion, and since this is your thread I hope you don't mind if I post about my F250.
I figure, even though it's not an Excursion, the info on my recent F250 purchase is relevant since the Ex and the SuperDuty trucks are so closely linked.

Comments: The truck was in like-new condition. Perfect interior, no wear marks on the leather, and no exterior dents or dings. No noticeable scratches in the paint either.
The truck came with a B&W gooseneck hitch installed, and already had a 4" turbo back exhaust and AFE Stage 1 intake bolted on. The bed also came with a Line-X spray on bed liner.

After looking at all the posts I am really feeling like I got screwed! hmmmmmmm oh well, I love my x...
Location is HUGE when buying used cars. Big cities and towns near them regularly pull a couple grand extra for used vehicles. Theres a reason I drove from chicago to the middle of ohio, and the middle of colorado to buy my last two vehicles. Saved 2-4G's on those purchases.
Paid- $6700
Bought-November '08

If I had a truck valued at $20000 I sure and hell wouldn't sell it for $14000. Must be a lot of flood vehicles out there that people "THINK" they are getting a good deal on. Please tell me how great the truck is in a couple months after you fix all the problems that have yet to surface.
The reality is not how great of a deal you got but, how bad did I get screwed. Only time will tell.
Call your local salvage yard and ask the cost of a used engine or trans. Then you'll quickly see how great the deal was. Most of those low priced trucks are worth more for parts. Wonder Why????

I completely disagree. You must be in a different finacial situation than most. These are hard times right now and most people are feeling it. People are dropping prices to sell their trucks, plain and simple. Nobody's spending money and if you NEED to sell your truck, what are you suppose to do? If my 250 doesn't sell soon, ya know what I'm going to do? Drop the price some more.
I paid 11K for my Excursion and I think for the mileage and superb condition of the truck, I did extremely well.
If people can afford to hang on to their trucks until the market rebounds then good for them. With diesel fuel dropping as low as it is and trucks still aren't selling, that's just reassures me that the economy is scaring the hell out of people right now and they're not spending.
**If you're talking about FordTruckGirl's post, the 20K is KBB, not neccessarily what the truck is worth. That's what this thread is all about.
