EGTs question

After putting my gauges in i really started watching my egts a lot. When i'm at WOT my EGTs climb to 1250 very quickly, i dont think i'd even make it through a 1/4 mile without them going into the redzone. That being said, is it ok to let the EGTs climb past the 1250 mark for a short time? if so how long is safe and how high have you guys gone with EGTs?

You are totally fine for short bursts. I can bury mine at 1500* if I go WOT on a steep hill if I try hard
