Even with my 99 F-150 I'd rarely use 4x4lo
Really, wet heavy snows I would since I do a really long driveway and even with the blade fully angled I'd build up a good pile by the time I got to the house to push the pile to the side.
Now on my 07 F-350 PSD I went with a Boss 9'2" Power-V XT. Anxious to get to plow with it.
LOVE the avatar!
Semi OT, but what kind of plow setup are people running? I need to get some sort of a plow rig this winter, and I'm strongly considering just putting one on my PSD rather than having a separate rig to plow. Trouble is, plows don't come cheap! Any input would be appreciated.
i use Meyers plows, because that is what was on my first truck years ago, and i like to keep things the same.

well, the kids do remind me every chance they get that i am older than dinosaurs.
Ive been plowing for 5 years, never needed 4L, tranny and engine temps remain normal.
On this truck, Im running a Minute Mount, 8ft by Fisher Plows, This name is well known and was the one that came with the truck from the factory.
IMPORTANT - Be sure to snow clear from the grill, the PSD cant keep cool without proper airflow.
