I went to start my truck the other day and it wouldn't start after the "wait to start" went out. Turn the key off and turn my headlights on and noticed that they did not dim like they normally do when the glow plugs cycle. I turned it the key on and off about 3 times and finally the glow plugs cycled. What do you guys think is the problem, GPR or the GP Solenoid? And yes I know I do need to do the LED for the GPs. Also, if you think it is the relay, which fuse panel is that relay located in and which relay is it? I know where the solenoid is at.
Test the GPR and see if the relay closes and you have power out. Obviously check the fuse.
It is possible the stock GPR is going bye-bye.
I replaced mine before it died, simply because winter is coming and I don't want to be stuck. I removed the GPR and it actually rattled!!

I think you're talking about the same thing. GPR = Glow Plug Relay. Not sure what a "GP Solenoid" is, but you might be referring to the same item. The battery goes strait to the relay, then the relay distributes the battery voltage to the GPs.
Yes I thought there would be a relay and a solenoid. There must be just a solenoid. I think of a relay being a five post inch by inch relay and solenoid being a larger four post relay for larger voltage than a relay.
