I have a 2002 F250 crewcab with the 5.4l engine. I have the snow plow package and a large Snow Way poly snow plow. The front end sits too low, more so with the plow mounted.
My question is........
should I order a leveling kit for a gasser or a diesel because of the extra weight of the plow? Can I even use a diesel kit? any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you buy a spring hanger kit, they are the same for diesel and gasser. They use the same springs, so you already know how it'll ride. If you get a kit that has stiffer springs to provide lift, you will get a rougher ride w/o the plow. There are good lift kits and there are cheap lift kits but there aren't many good, cheap kits.
That is an option.............don't really care about the ride, just the clearance for the plow frame, it hangs down pretty low and scrapes sometimes going over bumps...........was more concerned with my springs being too weak for the plow setup........
