Anyone sold their cat for big bucks?
My cat is clogged so i had to order a new properly sized magnaflow replacement cat # 95509 for my 2000 v 10. What is this thing worth ? Who buys cats for the best prices ? Anybody out their done this ? thanks

The best thing to do is cut off the flange ends of the CAT so it will be rendered unusable and then sell it to your local scrap yard. It is illegal (under federal law) to sell a used CAT that can be condsidered usable...

If you are looking for big bucks, you missed the train like 5 or 6 months ago. The precious metals market has collapsed, and your old converter is worth very little. You might get between $20 - $30 for it. This might still be great for you, but in contrast to where prices were and what the new one costs, that is not much.

What a p@#$%^. Can you imagine going out and starting your vehicle only to find the cats gone, then you can wait 3 hours for a cop to show so you can fill out a waste of time report. the insurance wont cover it - the deductable is to high - so you have to go and buy a new one and repair the damage they did to the rest of the exhaust - so your out 500 dollars. So they can make what? just what does a junk yard pay for one? and even if they get caught (good luck) theft under baby! probabtion and drug rehab. Get a friggin job like the rest of us have to. phew ok done now lol
