Hey Scott, did you get this straightened out? I changed mine out today. New shift lever and transmission control switch from Ed. I forgot to check the wires to see which one was hot, but there are 3 wires and all 3 go to the TCS.

I never have looked at it yet. I did get my head lights in though. I will look at it tomorrow. Did it fix your problem of the light staying on all the time??

Yep, that fixed it. One of the wires was rubbed nearly in two. BTW. The new one had different colored wires from the orginal.
