Ok, I was changing the oil on my 02 Ex last night, and lately when driving, it feels like the rear is "squishy/squirmy" side to side. So I was gandering upon things, and it appears my rear springs, the front of them have slipped side to side, there were wear marks in the spring hangers,,, not bad, but enough to "feel" I think. They were back in the middle, I have never seen this before with leaf springs, and am looking for someones' old take offs,
Has anyone else seen/experienced this?!
Holy dead thread Batman! I have this same thing on my front driver side aft spring end...sounds like someone hitting the spring mount with a hammer when you get lateral force on the front axle.
Never done spring bushing replacements before...anyone here replace their leaf spring bushings on their own?
Yes, I did it 2weeks ago.
I swap out my OEM leafsprings in the rear to new 4"/6" lifted ProComp,
They came with the rubber bushings, but I changed the bushings to PUR bushings from daystar, before I installed them.
My rear feels now way more crispy though softer than with the OEM.
Of course, I dont know, if this come from the spring packages, the new 5100 Bilsteins or the PUR Bushings.
I guess every single upgrade lead to the summery.
I hardly can wait to lift this rig in the front, because the 1.5" of possible suspension travel are killing me.

Ive not replaced the bushings on mine, but a tip for replacing any rubber bushing. Put the new bushings in the freezer for a few hours, take out only the one you are ready to install. Makes it a lot easier.
No worries! If you don't have a press you can still do it. Probably the easiest way is to burn out the rubber completely until you only have the outside metal sleeve in the spring eye. You are going to want to grab a chisel and try and mushroom the sleeve inwards. Some people them keep doing that until it breaks loose. Others will grab an object the same diameter of the mushroomed metal sleeve and try to knock it.
