In changing lower ball joints on a 2000 4x4 (Expy actually, but same as 150), I've managed to shear off the ABS sensor on the driver's side. Had the bolt out, too, but managed to bang it hard enough to break the housing off flush with the surface of the hub housing. So now I have a little plastic, a magnet, some fine copper wire, and a lot of rust peeking out of the little hole in the hub and a broken mess dangling at the end of the sensor wire.
I'm assuming that replacing the "upstream" end will be pretty simple. But how should I go about getting the broken mess out of the hub? Drill it out? Break it up with a screwdriver and try to pick out the bits? There is nothing at all that's proud of the metal surface, so I can't get ahold of any of it.
Unfortunately it had already proved to be in there too tightly to pull out when I could get a grip on the rest of the sensor, which is why it was still in the way when I hit it.
