I've got a 1997 F-150 regular cab pick-up that I use as my daily driver.I bought the truck new and have always tried to keep it clean, especially in the Winter months. The body on this truck is perfect, except for the passenger side cab corner.Hole big enough to put my fist in.Does anyone know where to buy a cab corner patch panel for this truck? Only ones I see on line for a 1997 are drivers side for extended cab. Thanks for any info.
Pollack Pete
I have the exact same problem i have a 1997 F-150 regular cab and the truck is mint except for the passenger side cab corner you can put you whole hand in there it has been impossible to find any type of cab corner for it the place is from ford and they want like over 400 dollars for just for one side. is your truck the old body style or the new style i have the new style.
Mine's the new body style.I see some guys replied to your other post. The only ones I've seen from the aftermarket people are for left hand side of super-cabs.If they made them for the passenger side,I was gonna buy one and cut it down to what I need.I know what you mean about one more New England winter ........I'm in upstate New York........my next step is to try and make a patch out of some sheet metal and epoxy and pop rivet it on.My truck looks like new except for that cab corner. It rotted from the inside......I'd love to find a patch panel. It would make my job a lot easier.Let me know if you find anything.
I will get booed for this...but LMC Truck has them for $60. If you are a decent welder/body man you can make this work. I have use the cab corners before on my 77 and it was a perfect fit. There are a bunch of haters out there...but NONE OF THEM have used the stuff from LMC...I have been consistancy surprised by the service and products from LMC. See my gallery for my rebuild.
edit: I reread your post and LMC does not have one for the RH side, but if you have a cordless sawsall, you might be able to cut one from your local yard.. there are beginning to be be more and more of these available at the yards .
Good luck!
