So I installed my new HPX from ITP yesterday. Didn't run the truck after I did it other than to back it out of the garage. This morning especially at idle it feels like the engine is running a little rougher. Tach isn't bouncing around but when sitting at a stop light it almost feels like I have real light lope idle but the tack shows steady. Could this just be the sensors acting up with the new info or what?
That's because you're putting air directly in the HP oil rails. But I don't remember mine idling rough for very long. I seem to remember a few minutes tops.... It's been over a year since I put mine in, though. I remember the engine jumping around in the engine bay before the mods, and now it's barely moves around. Nice & smooth.
Thanks for the replies. Nice to hear that there's hope. I checked for leaks last night after I did the install. I changed the oil at the same time. I'm gonna check it again this evening when I get home. Thanks again for the help!
