Any smoke? Check engine light? missing or running rough?
Check the fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the driver side of the fuel filter housing, Check your air filter and also when was the last time your oil was changed?

more information please, does it smoke upon inital startup, does it smoke when you are in that rpm range when you just rev it up, does it stutter any, how many miles are on the truck, does it burn any oil, any mods or chips???

See the picture in my post above it will show you where its at. You can use a tire gauge to test it but its not messy and not the best way. It will work but a fuel pressure gauges is the best way. Some parts stores might rent it out to you and you could do it in the parking lot.

pull the chip out and see if it gets worse, my bet is it will, and it will most likely smoke too.
