Gents I will have to replace the rear tank sending unit on my 97 F350 powerstroke. Problem is Ford wants $160.00 bucks! Anybody know of a cheaper place to get one of these? Maybe an alternative? Thanks
Or here's the nuts and bolts on parts from it: Ford part # F6TZ9275DA for steel aft tank MSRP of $161. Powerstrokeshop.com has it for $111.08 and Directfordparts.com has it for $114.27and FTEpartsguy.com has it for $115.91. Ford part # F6TZ9275AA for aft plastic tank, but I have not looked up any prices. Hope this helps.
I found these at National Parts Depot on line parts catalog. One for an 18 gal. rear tank part no. F-9A299-3 $45.95, 19 gal rear mount tank part no. F-9A299-3 $44.47. Might be worth a look. Tom
I searched for this part a couple weeks ago...the parts that are only $30-40 are JUST the sending unit (device that controls the fuel gauge), and not the entire pickup/sending unit. The sending device is replaceable in itself and attaches to the side near the bottom of the entire pickup.
