With all due respect,do you cruise the various vehicle enthusiast sites, and start your posts by declaring that those particular brands and there drivers arent any good?
It seems like everytime you dig yourself out of the last hole you fell into, you manage to find a new one?
First the brand sucks, then you back pedal, and its only the newer ones that suck, then another backpedal, and its the powerstrokes that really suck, now you veer sideways, and the drivers suck........ what are you attempting to accomplish here?
im attempting to accomplish nothing, and no i dont cruise other forums picking fights. i own this vehicle i cruise that site. the drivers are usually what give a bad rep to brands. and yea i can tell im doing that whole hole thing. let me put it this way, i dislike most new trucks especially with the powerstroke and duramax. and nothing that bad about powerstrokes, so that whole fiasco with the 6.0's? not a big deal huh? and the 7.3 was just a computer controlled turbo idi motor, at least thats how i see it.

yea i know what you mean, especially for you fellows across the water. your fuels alot more expensive. but i believe for a truck this size i need a bigger diesel. turbo 4 or 6 cylinder will be how i go. cummins or detroit diesel.

Both the 6.0 and later 7.3's were referred to as powerstrokes, and i know a fair number of 6.0 owners who have had good luck with them. for that matter why not look at a 6.9,they are/were good motors, probably have as much power as your 400 does....

6.9? the old ones? and pre 1994 they were different motors btw. they were the idi's non turbo for the most part although there were factory turbos. and it probably does but i prefer either a cummins or a detroit. cummins for its strength power, and reliability. and the detroit because its unique and powerful too. i also dont want any new diesel motor. alot more computers involved that i dont want in an old truck.

All the 6.9's in fords were non-turbo,yeah you see a lot of aftermarket turbo'd versions out there, but from ford they were all NA,170 hp and about 325 lbs of torque

Plus, and I'm surprised anyone didn't pickup on this, it looks like thats a factory Explorer camper top. Those are RARE!!!!! Where about in NY are you from? I'm near Syracuse.
