Well, sort of. At that time, Randy was the Manager Maintenance Mechanical I for Union Pacific, Denver terminal. He managed a group of about 50 car toads, but the biggest part of his job was to direct and manage derailment recovery. So he was working with the BNSF manager there as you see in that pic to try and investigate the cause of the derailment. (BNSF I believe owns that piece of track, so ALL The guys were there for that one).
He worked 25 hours straight on that particular derailment.
He now works as the Sup of Cars for a class 2 for a different RR.
You know what's so obviously missing here? Some sort of catheter setup. A real long tube with an out of sight disposal system. This thread has got to make it to 5000 just so we can say we did it.
Dan, you do have good taste in music. The local Christian station plays them among others. Great music! At least you don't have to worry about what lyrics the kids will hear.
Dan, it's not just your being out of bed at this hour that I find amazing, but your being able to think clearly enough to dig this kind of stuff up.
It doesn't happen every night, and no pattern to it. I wake up at around 3:16 am, feeling like I just had a full 8 hours sleep, when I only had 4 or 5.
Then I get sleepy again and return to bed for a couple of hours.
And with today being Veteran's day, I don't have to go to work.
Yep -- I'm in for the 5k contest. I'm hoping I'm not out of it since I have to get out to the field later. I think we might make 8x posts by then, knowing this group. LMAO!!!!

Lisa gets to work in about 80 minutes, it will pick right up then, we got this one in the bag.
