Please tell me he gave you some cash too. Can you tell I really like rice burners? Hey, I saw a genuine 65 AC Cobra this afternoon. Complete with the side pipes that are really just headers going into a collector, no mufflers. Man was that ever cool. The man was really impressed that I knew what year it was. We were both getting gas at the same place. Me in the Vdub and he in that.
WOW, 427 side oiler. 0 to 100 then back to 0 in 60 seconds. Carral had that car right.
You're actually keeping track of this chit? I'll give you a break and go to bed. Good night all, and tomorrow we will talk about the garbage plywood has turned into.

One more thing on it, it was effin perfect, and I mean perfect. I did not have my camera with me. It had NC antique car plates on it and it was in Matthews which is really sort of a small town, so I am surprised I've never seen it before. I did have my phone with me, but have never used the camera in it and the pictures are crummy anyway are they not?

it just depends on your phone Mark......some have decent camera's. That picture I showed you of the Elk in the forest yesterday was taken with my cell phone
Kind of disappointed I haven't seen Mark or Brent talk about how bad the current 3-ply plywood is compared to the old 5-ply. Not much better than the OSB, aka chipboard.
Joe, it does hold up better than particle board (now called MDF to make it sound better), but the glue/resin that holds the wood chips together does deteriorate when exposed to the rain or UV. The exposure 1 glue (CDX) does help it stay together, but if we'd have had a hail storm every 3-5 years which required your roof to be replaced, the OSB wouldn't be holding up that well. Of course the 3-ply plywood would be telegraphing the rafter by now since it tends to warm more than the old stuff.
You can still get the 5-ply or better in BC (interior) in both pine and hardwoods, but it's a lot more pricey. I used Red Oak for my cabinets when I built my house.
I'm still 12+ pages behind, so if any of this has come up already, I apologize.
I have no clue......I changed my own oil, starters & alternators, and that's about the extent of my skillz in those days, I was 16 haha. Those Japs could squeeze some decent power out of small motors though. I used to race a guy that had a stock Challenger, obviously NOT the 440.....but whatever they had smaller then that. I could smoke him off the line, but he'd catch me after about 100 yards
Maybe a 383 or 340, but if you could stay with him at all it was probably a 318, them things had a hard time getting out of their own way.
I would have paid the guy to let me ride in that car. He would had to call the cops on me to quit bothering him. Glad you got to see the car. I never laid my eyes on a real one.

He was close to my age, and had a woman with him. I should have asked him for his phone number though. Not much smarter than Scott am I? Tomorrow is supposed to be another great day weather wise so maybe he will be out and about in it. I will watch for it. Later everyone.

it was a 318....and a tired one! I saw that guy at the Drags in phoenix in April, he's now got a SWEET Challenger, with a really built up 440, 9 second car
