Some lady hit a power pole in town, and when you live in the country, there's not a lot of options as far as re-routing power. It just came back on though, so that means the alarm will work, and i"ll have coffee in the morning.

Man I know about living in the country. We are the last house on a single line coming from a town 13 miles away. A squirrel can take us down for days.

I know it. This is one of the better self policing forums on this board. I've never thought of myself as the forums sitter.....I hope I don't act that way

Thanks. I can count the number of times I've been sick in my life on one hand. I think this is the first time I've ever missed work because of an actual sickness. Got a penecillion shot in the *** today, so I'm feeling pretty decent tonight.

I've got a 230 amp welder with a 10,000 watt generator that holds around 10 gallons of gas, so I'm good there. It's just not worth getting things all hooked up if the power will only be out for a couple of hours.

We did have a bird get into a switching station one summer about 10 years ago, that left us without power for 2 days. Knocked out power to everything around me. Had to drive about 20 miles to find a gas station that had power to buy gas for the generator. This was nothing in comparison.

Good to have you back Scott. Hope you get better soon. I never really really get sick, I just get a little cough or runny nose in the winter that just seems to hang around and never go away.

Anyone try the new Budweiser American Ale yet? Im still not sure if I like it yet... guess Im going to need a few more for testing purposes lol

Yep... Maybe I'll finally be able to keep up for a change....

Yeah -- welcome back to the land of the living, Scott. I was sick as a dog earlier this year where I missed THREE days of work. Finally had to go get a shot in the azz for the first time myself. It works though!! Next time I get that sick, I'll go get one a lot sooner!!!
