trans rebuild

well i have been busy so i havent been on to let ya know whats going on. the other day i was going home from work and when i turned onto my road i felt the tranny slipping. well i figured i would check it when i get home. i get home and go to back into my driveway, put it in reverse, it goes nowhere. i put it in drive, goes nowhere. so i jump out and look down and there is a trail of fluid going down the road and a huge puddle under my truck. well, im a mechanic so i got it towed to work. i figured it was my front pump seal. so i ordered a seal kit from ford. i started takin the trans out today. i get it out no problem. take the converter out to change the pump seal, and the seal is completely blown apart. i happen to look at the converter and the pump bearing is welded to the converter... so im thinking it got over heated and i guess this happened. needless to say, i brought it to the best trans guy around and he is gunna build it for me. heavy duty torque converter, shift kit, new clutches. and he is gunna machine the pump to give me more flow. hopefully things work out. just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this happen?
