I am wanting to do the foil delete when I pull the intercooler pipe off will it leak and if so will it leak enough that i need to add more fluid maybe a dumb question i just don't know. thanks
Absolutely nothing will leak out of the intercooler besides a little air....
There is nothing in it that can leak out. Unhook and remove the foil, you will like it.
Don't be afraid to ask questions. It's how we all learn.
Clean the boots, on the pipes, with degreaser and spray them inside with a little hairspray to help them seal (makes them sticky) when you install them back on.
I used Crown aerosol paint stripper and a plastic putty knife to remove the glue after the foil and insulation is pulled off.
Thanks alot guys wasn't sure still trying to figure out this diesel.
No problem. Don't be scared to ask any questions. You will see some oil residue in there, but it's just from oil vapors that have condensed back to oil. This comes from the CCV (crank case vent) and is nothing to worry about.
Make sure you clean the inside of the boots before putting things back together. A little hair spray provides a sticky surface that helps hold things together.
