Here's how to determine the sound of glasspacks...the shorter the length the louder, the bigger the outside diameter the louder. So right now, the loudest glasspack you can get commercially is the 8" long 5" diameter glasspack from cherry bomb. Needless to say, I have the loudest and second loudest streetable rigs in my area.
I've got a dual exhuast with 22"(I think) glasspacks with a 3" diameter. Sounds pretty good but is DEFINATELY not loud enough!!!! Would the 8" with 3" diameter glasspacks make a huge difference? If so where did you get them from?

Go to 12" long glasspacks. With glasspacks the larger the length and case diameter the quieter the muffler. For instance if you have a 22" 3" glasspack with a 5" case OD it will be quieter than a 22" 3" glasspack with a 4" case OD. The more packing the quieter.
IMO I would go with a 12" glasspack rather than a Dynomax race bullet because they are a lot cheaper and similar in construction. A single chamber cherry bomb extreme or Flowmaster 10 series will also be very loud.
I recently started thinking of magnaflow race series mufflers, how would the sound of them compare to the other mufflers running on the same exhaust setup?
