Just to clear up what was said before, lockers are no good for snow, their harsh engagement and lock traction can easily cause loss of control, the factory L/S is much better under snow/ice conditions. Of course if you have the $$$$ then running a set of ARB's front and rear is really really NICE
I personally have a Dietrot locker in my truck and love it. This thing rocks for the rear, now I just need a Aubrun Gear Pro l/s for the front. Yes a locker is a little aggersive for the street, but for me when I have to climb a muddy driveway, hill, or just have a really ad job site to get to, I wouldn't trade it for the world. Especailly when like this summer my boss and I where framing up a house at the top of a hill and his 01 2500HD Chev 4X4 couldn't make it up the hill to the house, so I backed all the way down the hill, hooked the old 6 cyl to his 8.1 and pulled him and the 18' enclosed work trailer up the hill. Then a couple days later after it rained again, I pulled the trailer up the hill on the first try and it still took my boss 4 or 5 runs to make it. My boss is the only Chevy fan at work and he still gets ***** for it, even now.
