cigarette lighter went bad how to replace?????
my old cigarette lighter went bad and i got a new one i took the two wires off it in the back of it back i still cant get it to come out,what is holding it in there?...my truck is a 95 250....sorry i posted this here but i dont really know where to post it on here im sure one of you guys knows thanks guys..the beers on me!

i just replaced mine in a '75, yours should be similar. unhook neg bat cable, spray a little wd-40 in lighter socket, give it a minute or two. now it gets a little tricky, you probably have to find a way to hold the backside in place while you unscrew the front. i was able to take my ashtray out and reach behind the dash to hold it gently (you do not want to crush the sleeve). i used a screwdriver to turn the socket out. again, make sure the bat is unhooked, clean up any wd-40 before you hook bat back up. hope this helps.
