Hey All, I am waiting for my line of fire lights to come in, in the mean time I was wondering about wiring them up.
I got the Fire and Ice series, the ones with the white leds for back-up lights, and the instructions say to plug in the 4 pole flat plug and wire the reverse lights into the tail light.
What I was wondering, is this the was everyone has done it, or is there a better way? I was thinking of breaking into the wiring harness to leave both the trailer plugs available.
I tried searching for the wiring spec's on the 7 pin trailer plug, I thought I saw it in one of the treads. Can someone please remind me which thread it was? I believe that the center pin it the back-up lights, am I right?
Thanks in advance,
Alex
I have not installed these lights yet, but have ordered a set so am interested in the results of this post. I was thinking of tapping into the 4-pin wiring harness with a 4-pin connector, thus leaving the existing one available for trailer usage.
