All I know is I am averaging like 12.5-13 tearing around down with the V10 4.30 CCSB setup. I cry a bit at the pump, but its a hell of a truck.

The 6.4l boys have been getting good mpg increases with via a DPF delete and tuning however it voids the warranty in heartbeat. The EPA must not know squat about internal combustion engines. Reducing emissions and burning more fuel doing it, just doesn't add up for me. If the EPA would ditch the DPFs for now we could have diesels that get great rpgs and have more power to boot.
The 1 reason that gas is almost a dollar cheaper than diesel is USLD. There is a limited amount of refineries in America some cant even produce it at 15ppm sulfur. You want cheap gas and so diesils get the government out of it. of course at 69 dollars a ball in 4 to 6 weeks ( when the refineries get the oil that was purchased at that price) dont be surprised to see gas around 2.25 a gallon if not less.

The EPA won't be getting rid of DPFs anytime soon. I believe the EPA passed regulations to clamp down on small engine emmissions. Yes that right your lawnmower, weedwhacker and etc is going to have a cat, EGR and etc in the near future.

I thought that was a roomer not sure though I also heard they were going to make it so you cant buy 2 strokes for small engines, they already outlawed the sales of banshees in the US.

On another site I go on (All 2-strokes) they were saying the bill was passed, don't know for shure. They shure don't want you going to Canada and buying a Banshee either, $8k+ CAD. I hate the EPA.

A 4-stroke chainsaw.

Yamaha Banshee is a 350cc twin cylinder 2-stroke sport ATV. (First year produced 1987 last sold in US in 2006) With HPDI and spot on oil injection a 2-stroke can be very clean.

Is this a truck with the Alison trans? I have only heard real good things about that tranny, could just be a fluke.

Tom has the 6.0 gasser. The new trans in the GM is one of the things that helped steer me to a Ford this time. Didn't want to deal with the teething problems that some new products have.
