Flowmaster

I had been reading about the different mufflers and listening to the sounds clips on team mudds website, this weekend i swapped out my factory muffler and went with a flowmaster super 44. Just wanted to let anyone whos looking to do the same that ive been getting lots of compliments, sounds real throaty at idle and pretty deep when accelerating, not ricer like at all

thanks and thumbs up on the sound compliments. personally i think the Flowmaster series sounds the best, and it's definitely a head turner when you hear a 10er with a good sound!!

man i'll be happy to post up a sound clip and some short info about your set up if you want. as well as any other FTE member that wants their V10 heard, lol!

Heres a link to what my truck sounds like.

Video of 6.8l Exhaust - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Mods listed in video title. Also have K&N intake and custom 87 tune. I didn't notice an increase in MPGs at all, just more power. I will be experimenting with a 93 octane tune evetually as I heard 93 contains less ethanol and should yield better mpg and will produce more power.

There is a clip on your site with a v10 and the cherrybomb extreme. Do know what the set up is on it? Did he leave the resonator?

I don't like the sound of the FM70 on the 3v. I have a 50 series big block muffler on my 2v, but want to change the muffler on my 09 3V when I get it. I'd like to hear more 3V mufflers, so I can decide too. Lloyd

from looking at the you tube page it looks like the setup is a the stock cat, factory y pipe, and the single in/dual out muffler with its pipes exiting in front of the rear tires.

I see you have the extreme muffler, what do you think of it? How loud is it? Does it have that v6 sound to it? The clip on youtube really has me thinking about the extreme.
