I agree...I WAS asking about a chevy tahoe on a ford truck forum....BUT... how is an off topic discussion about metallica and dogs any better to be discussed?...just respectfully wondering

Phil - the moderators got upset at all the OT threads in the tech forum, so they limit us to only one OT thread at a time..and you found it. If you ever have anything non-ford truck related you can post it in the OT thread.
I think they are trying to limit the amount of OT threads that get started. That is the reason for this one, to try to keep all the OT stuff in here. Sorry yours got axed Schlepprock.

OK...I guess that explains it. I wasn't trying to get anything started or cause trouble on here because I love coming and here talking about my truck, but like I said I only wanted advice from someone I have talked to before as we all know you have to be carefull who we take advice from. But thanks anyway...

I'm still trying to get the intro to Enter Sandman down on the drums, in Rockband. Past the bass/blue notes, it's fine but that is so tricky.

Ok guys...Im not in any way trying to be rude.....BUT...I posted an off topic thread the other day asking a serious question about a programmer for my wifes tahoe,I also proclaimed that I knew it was off topic but I wanted an opinion from some people that I trusted(rec'd alot of great advice from the guys on here) but my thread was removed due to being off topic, but here it is an off topic thread thats three pages long,Im not trying to be rude but I think the rules should apply TO ALL MEMBERS ON HERE. Sorry for complaining but I had to get this off my chest.
Here's the point I've been trying to get across all along.
FTE's position is that the technical forums are to be used for technical conversations persuant to the forums topic. Period. I am supposed to move any and every thread that is not directly related to the 99-03 PSD into the correct forum for that threads topic.
Because this group is so closely knit I have chosen to keep an off topic thread running here. It's not something that FTE has authorized me to do and may very well bite me in the a$$ someday. But I do it anyway just so all the smoke heads will have someplace to chit chat.
Your thread is alive and well in the general automotive forum. If you had posted it in the O/T thread that was running at the time I would have left it alone.
I am trying to avoid the directive from on high that says on topic only, stay under the radar so to speak.....makes it less fun for all of the regulars when you only get to discuss the 7.3 and nothing else.
Scott- Thank you for what you have done, these O/T threads are a riot and i agree with you when you say how tight nit this group is... I think i speak for everyone when i say thank you! And please keep it going! Obviously every now and then it will take someone a min. or two to figure out what this is here for... Perhaps adding a "FYI" to the "read first" thread at the top of the list, about the "o/t" thread's...
