Good night Nick I hope that your enjoying the vacation!!!
Dinner? We had TEHO (to each his own) for dinner, The rules are you may not cook anything new, it is clean out the fridge night.
For me it was fried chicken, field peas, and squash and onions, the wife chose Lasagna, and garlic bread. Alli (oldest daughter) had pizza, and Ansley(youngest daughter) had a cheeseburger and chips.
I've got to take the BIG grill to the state equipment auction next friday and cook about 400 ribeyes on Friday, and 250 on Saturday. I'll give yall some pics next weekend.
Aw man, there needs to be some type of rule about posting pictures of food like that. It's Monday morning, I got up late, didn't eat breakfast, and I'm starving. Dangit Scott.
Mark, FWIW, I think I might like Scott's meat too.
Well Randy made it to Omaha at about 11:30 last night. We finally got all his stuff on that truck (it was nothing short of a miracle). We got his Buick loaded on the trailer (that was fun) and packed up to leave. Randy's cat decided to make a great escape right as we were leaving, the neighbors I'm sure had fun watching two tired, sore people trying to chase a cat down the street.
I went home and passed out on my couch. Woke up and tried to watch some Olympics but passed out on my couch again. That was my Sunday. At least it finally stopped raining here.
Looks like you all had a good weekend.
Oh and Randy and I were discussing...I'm getting ready to put my house on the market. We're not really sure what's going to happen, but at my price point (and where were at in the market) I should make some ok change. Randy told me last night that he thinks if I make anything extra, beyond what I am expecting, he wants me to spend it on the truck.
What would I do with an extra 5k to spend on the truck?
Even Lisa can't give this thread CPR this morning. Someone give me a controversial political topic and I'll get a good one going in the Club. Ken shut one down cuz it was too big but told me to feel free to start another.

I can see it now... neon glow in the dark orange with a big 01 on the door and a confederate flag on the hood......maybe a mural of a buffalo on the tailgate and gold plated door handles....
or then again.... maybe a BTS transmission, an upsized turbo, or even a few extra tunes for the tuner.

lol. That truck would have to come complete with the "Dukes of Hazzard" horn.
A BTS, yes I thought about that too. I don't have a DP yet, so that'd be on the list. My turbo runs like the lil engine that could, so I might hold out on that one for a bit. I hate my wheels, so I might opt for brand new whees/tires and some Bilsteins.
BTS, DP, Bilsteins, and wheels/tires...I think I have my money spent. I MIGHT have to spend a few extra over on a train horn.....
What would I do with an extra 5k to spend on the truck?
BTS trans for sure. Not even a question there. And make the trip down there to have them do it instead of having it shipped to you. Oh, and pick me up on your way there and I'll go hang out while they're upgrading your truck. I like to go visit every once in a while. Nice people there at that shop.

.
Yeah, for sure. BTS is item 1. My reasoning for not having a tuner yet is that I just don't trust my transmission. It shifts fine and I never get any slippage or problems, but, if it goes out, truck no go, and right now its my only source of transportation. If I have a beefier transmission, I'll be okay with giving my truck a bit more power.
Is it 3k minus core charge? or 3k after they reimburse you?
The ride is pretty stiff in that truck, so I thought some new shocks to be in order too, maybe some airbags if I can swing it?
I have other little parts/accessories that are already on my list, like new battery cables and thermostat housing. But I want to think about the fun stuff.

We're not going to discuss this here, but of course I had to research it and this is what I found with a quickie scan. I can not hear well enough to know what's being said, but the writing does not look so good for him being in favor of gun rights. I need someones opinion and then we will go from there and I will delete this post.
curious, forgot to ask..what is a progressive stamping die? I mean, what do you use them for?
imagine a large coil of steel strip... lets say 1/8 thick x 17-1/2 inches wide... feed it through a straightener to remove coil set and make it flat again instead of " coil set" into a round... push it thru a servo motor precision feeder..... and finally into the die, which is mounted in a press of some type. The die determines what is made... but any stamped part... radiator brackets, clips, supports,,,,some can be done progressively, some are more a transfer setup, but when a part requires more than one press hit to make, it can eb left attached to the strip, ffed forward a known amount, and more work done, a complete part falls off the end every hit after the die is fully "threaded".. Progressive stamping die - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'll have to see if I can find a better pic.
Interesting Leo. I ask because, here at work, I have items made up all the time that require a special die. For example, we had a gov't customer who wanted a special hole punch that made a circular M design. I had a die company manufacture a die that would do just that...except, this one was punching out little pieces of paper instead of steel parts. In my industry we also pay for dies to be made for other reasons too, like foil stamping..or sometimes we get a customer who wants a custom pen clip, and we pay for a die to have those made as well.
