Like maybe 30min to hour and on the charger. I am watching my batteries slowly drop in volts now down to 12.2 to 12.5 on both sides. The smaller connector on the alt on top is loose and wiggles and the other black one on top wiggles a bit too. The battery lead to the alt is tight. Should I cut and splice these wires or what?

I know where the IPR is but I guess that you just loosen the nut on the IPR?

the resistor is on the icp sensor, the ipr is down into the valley sticking out of the high pressure oil pump. has a thin 3/4 nut on it

when youunscrew it from the back of the pump you will see a pair of o-rings on it, about the size of ac condensor o-rings, odds are the round one is split. this allows the engine to operate while the oil and ring are cold but as the engine heats up and the oil thins and rubber expands then it allows the oil to bypass the regulator and the pump loses its ability to hold high pressure oil.

I found it. I will have to remove it tomorrow. Do I need any special tools, like crows foot wrench?
Thanks again for your help.

PULL YOUR DIPSTICK!!! Sounds to me like the HPOP reservoir is emptying. If the crank case is full next time it dies remove the plug on the reservoir and see if its full.

He didn't mention it (So you didn't miss it) but its certainly worth the few minutes it will take and its the first two steps to checking for a HPOP issue.

So got in it this morning and it cranked and took a long about 10 sec crank to get it going. It then fired up and ran like crap and dies about 20 sec later. Then cranked again and she ran and ran crappy. So, no long crank time but I will pull the plug. How do I know if it is low? What is considered full?

Thanks again for all your guys help. You guys are invaluable. I will also pull the IPR.
