Yellow wire.... right?

It just needs a NON-switched power source.

So find a circuit with power to it all the time.

If there isn't an empty spot on the fuse box, then you could patch into the light circuit if you have a lighter.

Is there NOT a corresponding wire in the harness?

The world is your oyster if you have a shop manual with wiring diagrams.

Perhaps you could describe what wires you have in the area of the radio.

I just checked out a source.
The colour code doesn't Jive.
If you have adobe acrobat have a look here.

help with 95 explorer memory wire

alright this is what i did since i found the 12v power wire i have had my power and memory wire from my cd player running off that just so i could have some tunes

this is what is in my harness

black/ground
blue/power for amp
blue w/red stripe/ dimmer
yellow w/black stripe/ 12v power
green w/violet/ 12v memory
green w/black/ ?????? but it has power running towards it

i matched every stock wire with the new memory wire and it didnt work

my dad brought a book just for a 95 explorer, horrible all the diagrams are crapy and there are no schematics on the whole electric system

now with the ciggerete liter, since it is right next to radio could i just put the memory wire right on it, or should i wire it from the fuse??

Check to see if the cigarette lighter is powered from the key or on all the time.

With the key off > Push the lighter in.

If there is power there.
Just *Tap into the wire to the lighter*

Did you go to the web site I highlited for you ?

All the wiring colour codes are there.
