Voltage fluctuates need help
My head lights go dim to bright while driving flicker I guess. New alt new regulator, Volts go from 12.5 to 15 at idle and when you rev engine. voltage jumps around what do I check Thanks for you help Don

Voltage fluctuates need help
Clean off the grounding/attaching area of the voltage regulator,Plus the connectors of the VR.
When putting it back on put some di-electric grease around the area & connectors to keep it from corroding.

Voltage fluctuates need help
What you are describing sounds a whole lot like a bad regulator....but since it is new (well just being new doesnt make it good though).....how about a loose/worn/glazed alternator belt??
Also be sure and check the grounds as Mil1ion mentioned.
