Have a friend crank the engine and stand at the tail pipe. If it smells like fuel then it would seem your getting it but if your getting fuel it should be running.
Clear the codes again and crank. that 1280 will probably come back. If it does we are stuck until we have some way (scanner or manual gauge) to look at HPOP pressures.
i will pop a valve cover off tomarr after work and look and i will also grab a friend tomarr for tjs idea... what kind of guage do i need??? pressure wise and fitting wise??? anything else you can think of will help... and i am not gonna fool with it no more tonight... i have to work tomarr morning
if you can get ahol dof a good scanner it would be much easier, if not then you need a gauge capable of 4000 psi or more. i cant recall the exact size of the threads in the head but there are 3 plugs in each oil rail, pull one out and take it with you for the thread size. and remove the oil line to each head to get the size to block off the pump to isolate the heads
to start, from 0 then a quick climb above 450-500 or more. a cut ipr o-ring will typicly climb quick from 0 to 150-200 then level out slowly from there.
Gauge yes thats good, Scanner its good but it also could be wrong (bad sensor/wiring/pcm) but it would point us toward the fuel supply in any case.
IIRC If it is a scanner ,It could be a false reading,it is reporting what the PCM is asking for or expecting to see with a closed IPR ,,guage is more accurate....
