So I stopped in and looked at the truck. WOW this thing is beyond loaded, it has options that i did not know were available. 69k on it has ride rite airbags with on board compressor, moonroof, price is decent, I think i might take it for a test drive this week!
A friend has a 6.7 and he is complaining about mileage the last few months. He had a 6.4 before and said the 6.7 was much better than his stock 6.4, but not much different than his DPF deleted 6.4. He makes 60+km/year. Dean, my tuned 6.4 is as much of a gap over the tuned 6.0 as the tuned 6.0 is over stock! I had lots of issues with my 6.0, but onced the tuning, EGR deleting, and head studs were in, it was awesome - the 6.4 is head and shoulders better...
I think a tuned 6.7 with DPF and DEF delete is a good bet - I think the engine is stout. This 6.4, although not totally perfect in reliabilkity, is friggin phenomenal!!!!!!
I am hoping to snag a cherry 2010 6.4 when mine is miled out - I have 125000 kms now...
That`s not good but hopefully you got it for the right price. How many km`s on it?
$4000
7,200kms (yes, four digits)
2 jackets (Icon and Joe Rocket)
2 Helmets (HJC and Shoei)
Front & Rear Stands for the bike (capable of being fully lifted off the ground)
It had a busted left mirror and a few dings here and there, but all very fixable.
I wanted to get it for less, but they wouldn't budge since they had a lot of money into the gear I was getting. The Shoei helmet alone is worth $800 from any store, $5-600 online... and the jackets aren't cheap either cause they're both meant for longer trips and breathable.
Even tho I didn't get it for what I wanted ($3700), I feel like I still got it for a steal cause it's a project bike (what I was looking for).
