Not sure how far we will travel west just yet Morris, that super run is in Brandon this summer but not sure if we will be taking it in yet or not. My wife doesn't care much for the big shows and would rather be cruising anyway..
Well we put on another 300 km on the panel and went to Dryden and back for a cup of coffee, beautiful day here, unfortunately changing out that sensor did not fix my cruise control problem, back to the drawing board I guess..
I'm really not sure Morris. I went through the system with the techs from Dakota Digital last year and it all checked out the way it was supposed to, they asked me to send the unit back to them for testing. They sent it back to me saying that the bench test proved okay and that they also tested it on the street in one of their vehicles and it worked fine. I get it back and it's the same so over the winter I rearranged the wiring to make sure I wasn't getting any radio frequency interference and thought I'd go one step further and change out the output sensor on the transmission. Still doing the same. Now I'm beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with the speedometer even though it is accurate.. It puzzling and probably something simple..
What is rthe problem with it John? Perhaps you can check it out with your cell phone (GPS?)to see if you have a concern if it`s acturate or not, my grand son did that for me on my 86 Mustang GT last yr.
It is accurate Morris, the speedometer was dialed in with my GPS but every once in awhile at idle the speedo will pulse. I checked everything and made sure it has a good clean ground which it does. Think I'll be back on the phone again..
I found it very easy to wire, very good instructions came with it and the instructions has a procedure to go though to make sure everything checks out and it does, that's the frustrating part..
