Happy Sunday mornin'all. Stayed up till 2am, watching a stupid B movie. Killer Mountain. John; I'm going with the mechanic fan.I test fitted it, and it looks like I'll have no problems with the trans cooler line's, if I use 45 Deg adapters. Cool day here too. Very windy. I'll take it over the last couple of day's. Have a great day guy's.
Grant are you using an auxiliary trans cooler & where is it mounted... ???
Gerry I have a cooler in the trans. I bought 2- 90 degree fittings this morning. 1/8 npt - 5/16 barbed fitting. I'll run rubber just out of the rad, and connect to steel to the trans. I was also thinking of adding a 18'' aluminum heat sink on the frame. What do you think?
Where did you get your rad Grant? Here in Canada, hopefully even in Winnipeg.
Sorry John. I bought it when our dollar was at par, from American eagle's E-Bay site. They are a champion product. I really like it. Fits like a glove.
Grant you can run a regular trans cooler or heat sink on the frame
some guys run this cooler with an electric fan on it under the truck anywhere theres room,
hook the cooler to the return line going into the trans, that way the fluid is coolest when it re enters the pump....
cooler
return line is on the bottom, let me know when you get closer & I'll double check Report this image
This is an illustration of the cooler RETURN lines... the AOD-E/4R70W return lines are the same..
Morning everyone. Back down south again. It was a chilly night but that's what I like so I can have the window open. So Saturday my dad and I took a trip to go pick up some lumber to build a 12' X 40' gazebo on his new house. The trailer with the lumber was about 8000 pounds, the truck pulled it like a champ.
