Howdy guy's. Way to go Sherm. No sense working for someone like that. I see it often where Bosses are bitchin about piddly a$$ things employees do, and throw money around on themslves. As if we're all too stupid to notice.. Well here are some pic's as promised;nts
Evening everyone. Hopefully everyone is having a good weekend so far. I got some extra over time at work this week but unfortunately I had to work night shifts for two nights to get it. My dad bought a house trailer for a really good deal about two weeks ago. We finally had time to start renovating it. Took out three walls, removed some wood panelling of one of the walls. A lot of the walls in that trailer are wood paneling. Also started removing the kitchen cabinets. I hit the cabinets with a sledge hammer and had a piece come flying back at me and smack me in the knuckle, and I now have a bruised knuckle...
Grant, make sure you take lots of pictures of your engine install.
Sherwin, sounds like you have a great boss. Your deer hunting skills are horrible, your not supposed to hit them with the truck. You're supposed to use a gun . My father in-law hit a dear with his motorcycle two summers ago and survived.
John, have fun sand blasting your truck. Sounds like a lot of work.
Congrats on the new car Morris, post up pics when you get it!!
Morning boys. Grant, buddy, those are some awesome pics!! I'll bet you're getting excited to have it running.
If there's 2 things that go together, its Morris and Mustangs Can't wait to see the pics MO!!
Randy, I'm just crossing things off the list of what I haven't accomplished... Hitting a deer with the truck is now crossed off... Sounds like you need to change your tampon...bruised knuckle... I forgot how wimpy electricians were... Just kidding bud, I know how much those lean areas hurt with a tap.
Gerry I'm going to send my eldest daughter to you for a bit. She's always bugging us to go camping or for me to buy a camper. They would probably use it parked in the yard is about it. I'm not much for tenting, especially with a family, and the expense of a camper at this point in life is not something I can justify. To use it perhaps 1-2 weekends of a year would be quite a waste.
Still camping Gerry? I wish I could camp my summer away lol.
Sherwin, that was no tap on my knuckle. My entire hand went numb with the pins and needles feeling for a couple minutes. But yes, us electricians and quite delicate beings . Careful with what you say, you might hurt my feelings . If you're only going to use a camper for a week, maybe two, out of the year then why not just rent one? Then you can get a nice one and you don't need to keep making payments on it or worry about storage.
Happy Sunday mornin'all. Back to work tomorrow. Before I went to bed, I put in my Lokar shifter. Pic's are a must after you pick up the mustang Morris. Is it just white, or is there striping? I could only cut half my yard yesterday. The back half is soaking wet. It's the wettest i've seen for some time. Usually a day of nice weather, and I can cut. Maybe this afternoon. Sherm, We used to use our motorhome 3 times a tear. Now we haven't used it for 2 yrs. It was a gift form Dawn's dad. Next spring It'll get tidied up and sold. The kid's do camp in the driveway, but now they have no interest in it at all. Kid's think that money grows on trees. I could go on for ever. Have a great day guy's.
Thanks Sherwin. The trailer is easily 1000 sq. ft. so its a good size. It's three bed rooms with 1 bathroom. The down side is that all the wiring it aluminum so we have to redo it all. We found a couple small mold spots but its all on stuff that's getting replaced, nothing on the framing itself so that's a good sign. We are going to be removing all the walls that are exposed wood, other then the wall with all the insulation in picture #5 and the short part of the wall where the hot water tank is in picture #2, we are just going up to that wall. Because it is a double wide trailer, we will be installing an 8x8 beam along the roof in the center, where the big wall coming out is, for support with two 8x8 posts coming down and an island in between the posts. This way the trailer will be an open concept and still have the roof support it needs. We are going to be pulling the siding off of it and adding some styrofoam to the outside for extra insulation and new siding. My dad also wants to add an attached porch/gazebo to the side of the house. And then after all that we still need to redo the most of the floors and the bathroom and then we're pretty much done. With all said and done, including buying the house, my dad is hoping to come in under $45,000.
Good evening everyone Won a tool set today at a show and shine at the blueberry festival in Sioux Lookout. Nice small show, less than a 100 cars but a very nice time, they said it was fewer cars than in the past but the skies threatened rain all day which likely kept many at home.
